CARE4KENYA STARTED IN THE FALL OF 2012. THE MILLAR FAMILY MET NICKSON AND JUDY KASUE WHO had been doing humanitarian work in Kenya, where they grew up. Nickson and Judy started Beacon humanitarian international, a non-profit organization that builds schools, donates supplies, and gives other aid to those in need. dustin, the millars son was a struggling teenager looking for purpose in life and wanted a chance to make a difference in the world. he loved the idea of going to Kenya with the kasue's and helping the kenyan people. within minutes of talking to nickson, dustin had committed to raise money to build a well in a kenyan village in need, that would service 10,000 families. Bailey (dustin's younger sister) had heard of the new project and immediately became a part of the new organization. days later, the kasue children (Esther, Emily, and Nickson Jr.) all joined the cause. the word then spread to Nathan Williams who felt compelled to join in. since then 4 other teenagers have joined the cause. they had a successful first trip and plan to continue to help those in kenya in the future. this group of teenagers calls themselves "team kenya".
